First Lady the Stage Play

First Lady is an electrifying stage play that brings awareness to the ongoing problem of domestic violence and mental health. First Lady focuses on the importance of clinical resources in hopes that even in their valley experience; someone finds God, love, and hope.

This is a true story about a former first lady that was caught up in her Christian beliefs while neglecting her responsibility to herself as a woman. She was married to one of the most powerful pastors in the city. He was loved by dignitaries in the community as well as the congregation however, the love that Victoria has for him is unconditional and what some would call FOOLISH. Putting others first was what Victoria thought her role was as a first lady.

This costs her many sleepless nights, tears, and bumps and bruises from the hands of the one that had promised to love her and protect her. “What goes on in our house, stays in our house”, is what Victoria was taught, as she played her position as the first lady. She was told to “pray about it” so that God will fix it. She was never offered a listening ear nor was she able to utilize the health resources, provided by the church, for services that were accessible to her. Will she be able to come out of this alive? Will she be able to save the life of someone else? Join us in your city to see Victoria’s fate.
